How to join a Zoom meeting
The Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association board is conducting all board meetings remotely using Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Below are instructions on how to join us for future membership meetings, when announced.
The annual membership/election meeting, the only one required by FPNA bylaws, is scheduled for March 23.
To join a monthly board of directors meeting via Zoom, call or email Dan Begley or another board member for access info.
Computer access to Zoom:
• Go to www.zoom.us in your browser.
• Click on “Join A Meeting” on the top menu bar.
• Enter Meeting ID: 81742263848 in the blue outlined box.
Save this ID number: We will always use it.
• Zoom will ask you to download its app, which takes a few seconds and you can say no to Zoom changing any settings on your computer.
• Click “Open” when the dialog box appears. (“This site is trying to open Zoom meeting.” If you have used Zoom before, it may say “Open Zoom meeting” or “Launch meeting.”)
• Enter password: 1924
• It will give you the option to “join with video” or “join with audio” — if you don’t have a web camera or don’t wish to be seen.
• Once you are in the meeting, it will ask you to “Join with computer audio.”
Smartphone and tablet access
• Download the Zoom app from App Store/Google Play Store.
• Sign up on Zoom app or just tap “Join a meeting” if you don’t want to log on with Zoom.
• Enter the meeting ID and you can join with or without video.
The Zoom buttons at bottom of screen once you log in:
• Mute: You will be muted when you enter the meeting. Toggle on/off by using the mute button. Please keep yourself on mute unless you want to ask a question or make a comment.
• Stop Video: To take yourself off video.
• Participants: Here you can see who is in the meeting with you.
• Chat: You can “raise your hand” by clicking the hand icon if you have a question for the host.
And you can chat with everyone or separate individuals in the meeting.
